So…. like…. less than 2 days ’til registration!

Ayeeeeeee!

What’s up guys?! Hope everyone’s first week of classes went well and everyone is slowly getting back into the groove of things again. I know the first few weeks back can be tiresome and no fun, but there’s something that will make you more excited, … information sessions for the ASB trips!!! There are 37 trips to look through, but if AND WHEN (because we know if you’re reading this you’ll be there..hehe, wink) you come down to one of the sessions make sure you check out the Hobe Sound board! Me (Bobby), or Emma will be in front of the board willing to explain anything and everything you may want to know about the trip and you’ll have a chance to see our craziness in person instead of through our blog posts! The sessions will be in the Backcourt of the GSU tomorrow and Wednesday, the 24th and 25th from 8pm-10pm!

We really hope to see you there because we’re so excited to hopefully meet some of our future volunteers and tell you about some of the exciting community service and free time activities we’ll be taking part in during our spring break!

And you finally get to see these beautiful faces in person…

Although there may be some slight sarcasm with the whole “beautiful” part.

Ayoooo, what’s up future ASBers!
Hope everyone’s break is going well. I know mine is. So much relaxing (and some pre-semester homework) and plenty of friends and family to bring in the New Year! Got some Sperry’s for our future Hobe Sound, Florida expedition for Christmas and slept WAAAAY too much. Hope you can all keep your resolutions this year because God knows no one ever does. I think I’m ready to head off of Lawnguyland though and start this semester strong with ASB registration (Registration for Alternative Springs Breaks 2012 will be on Sunday, January 29th at 8:00AM!!!) and eventually our trip to Hobe Sound! #Hobe2012holla

Hey everyone! This is my face in an ornament.

Well I woke up at 1 today and was not shocked…soo it’s been that kind of break. I hope you guys had a wonderful holiday and have been catching up on sleep/bad tv shows/on demand movies. I am so excited to get back to Boston and only 20 days until ASB Registration!

ALSO, we got our schedule (tentative) from Mike of what we’ll be doing during our trip!

Monday: full day 8:30-3:30 lunch on site; Culvert removal and installation, Spartina grass harvesting and planting.

Tuesday: half day 8:30- noon, lunch on site; Complete first project, start trail trimming.

Wednesday: Work at campsite with Martin County. Lunch may be provided

Thursday: full day, lunch on site, Trail trimming, native nursery work

Friday: half day, lunch on site, irrigation take down and recycling

So on those half days we’re thinking filling the rest of the day with exploration and beach….okay cool.

Yo biddiez,

What’s poppin? We’re rockin’ to our holiday season jamz in the office right now wishing we had some ugly sweaters to rock with… What are you doing for winter break?! We know what we’re doing. Bobby’s working on ALEKS for his upcoming accounting class next semester (YESSSSSS! jk, vom). But really, he’s going to sleep SO much and make that dough at his restaurant job. Emma will be re-reading Harry Potter and eating ice cream all day errdayyyyy. Also, she will be dreaming about Santa Claus’ arrival and dinosaurs.

Here’s some last thoughts we’d like to share with you before we head out, work on studying for our finals and head home for break:

HEY GURL HEYYY! Here we go Hobe, Here we go! (Woop, woop.)

Hey guys. This is real life. This is Bobby and Emma, the best ASB co-co’s you’ll evaaaa have!

So, this spring break we’ll be headed to Hobe Sound, Florida for our service. Camping, beach, camping, beach, sun. WARM. And of course, helping to clean the environment!

Spring Break is from March 10-18, 2012.

And, our current word count is 69. You don’t have to go on if you don’t want to, but we encourage you to, because we want you to join us on our trip!

Honestly, a 36 hour van ride is just, really, really great. Also Bobby is in charge of the music soo expect some smooth jamzZzZ.

Also, we strongly encourage the use of “biddie, bro, and holla,“ because we’re clearly so cool like that.

We’ll be updating this blog weekly so make sure to check back to get updates on our trip and what exactly we’ll be doing. Or to stalk us.
